Este ha sido el último día del London Fashion Week y tal vez último día de sol que tuvimos en Londres. Comparable con una mañana de verano sin dudas, aunque la temperatura seguía estando baja, el solesito nos mantenía con un clima llevadero, pero puedo jurar que al día siguiente no hubiese aguantado ni 15 minutos con esta ropa, principalmente por lo friolenta que soy.
La mayoría de las piezas que llevo las he sacado del fondo de mi closet y la falda la he rescatado de las bolsas que tenía preparadas para llevar a un yard sale, nunca había sido usada. Me he dado cuenta que la mayoría del tiempo cuando guardo alguna pieza y la dejo sin uso, llega siempre el momento donde me acuerdo, así sea que hallan pasado dos años o más y le encuentro acompañante, pero así me resulta mejor, saber que tienes que ponerte y no hay la necesidad de ir a comprar, asi que te pones a inventar y jugar con lo que tienes y es mucho más divertido.
Yo me he copiado de los colores de las paredes envejecidas y rasgadas de flyers, grises en diferentes tonos y toques negros. Buscaba una apariencia un poco desaliñada en cuanto a texturas y colores, pero sin exagerar. Ahhh! y no podía faltar color, así que busque mis lentes más llamativos, para darle alegría. Voila!
So this was from the last day of LFW and also the last sunny day we had in London. Quite comparable to a summer morning, even tho the temperature was still low, the sun kept us warm for moments. I can swear that the next day I wouldn't even dream on wearing anything like that, it was damn cold!
Most of these pieces were in the back of my closet since decades probably and the skirt was rescued from the bags I prepared to take to a yard sale, it has never been used. I've noticed that most of the pieces that I save for long periods, there's always a time to bring them back to life when i got something nice to match with them and those turn to be my favourite outfits. To me it's the best when you know you have stuff to wear on the closet, so you don't have to run and buy whatever, instead of that you can invent and play with what you have and it's much more fun.
I've been inspired by the colours of old and ripped walls, it's different shades of grays and some hints of black. I was looking for a soft scruffy look (in colours and textures) without exaggerating. Ohhh! and I needed to add a pop of colour of course, so I complemented it with my craziest sunnies to make my look more fun. Voila!
